Status

I recompiled KDE 4 swiftly after the first hurdle and I'm now done and ready to go productive ;) So what does KDE 4 look nowadays? I did not discovered many blobs (someone on IRC qualified unknown applets blobs) and the desktop took shape nicely. Here is how I set it:

KDE-Edu is very active. Adriaan mentioned Jeremy Whiting in his blog. Indeed Jeremy renovated the .kvtml format in the edu lib and took over KAnagram. We also have Fred Gladhorn taking KVocTrain and working with Jeremy. The SoC students did an amazing work and newcomers are ready to get involved. Some started with translating data. Marble people did not take a holiday break and had a new release out. The Edu day at aKademy proved to be useful in putting more light on our area. The Windows port also is going well.

My daughter Debs went briefly on IRC to take a break on working on her University memo. Blandine sketched some ideas for a KOffice logo. Having the 5 kids at home means lots of cooking but on the other hand the oldests like to look after Clarisse and we enjoy being together back at home before Debs and Blandine go their own way. Too bad the weather is so cold and rainy!
