KNewStuff 2 Debug & Polishing Week-end

Following the success of the Edu Polishing Day, we are inviting you on IRC #kde-polishing on irc.freenode.org this coming week-end 20 & 21 October to hack on KNewStuff 2.
What is KNewStuff 2? It's an implementation of the FreeDesktop Get Hot New Stuff project that allows users to share their data. For example you are using Parley and you just created a file to improve your rusty French. You want to share this free data with other people. In Parley, you'll open KNewStuff 2 and you'll be able to upload your file. Then some other user somewhere in the world will download it. This is essential for Educational Software as the more data the better. KNewStuff is also used for example to get new wallpapers for the desktop or templates in Kate.
What is there to do? We would like to get the same functionalities than in KDE 3.5 and have it work correctly. Writing some doc along would also be nice. Testing it and debugging it.
Who can join? Anyone with a working KDE4 environment and preferably KDE-Edu as well to "see" KNewStuff in action. KNewStuff itself is in kdelibs. With the Beta 3 release coming before the week-end you can grab a LiveCD and come to help. Newcomers are welcome for their "fresh" view and if you never used KNewStuff you'll be able to take a few minutes to join the channel and tell us if the GUI is intuitive for example. Developers will discuss tasks to do and assign them!
